One of the cornerstones of CTI's success in the IT faculty is its unique study methodology. In the computer field, numerous studies over the years have proved that traditional classroom methodologies are inferior to individual study methodologies. Students have different levels of prior learning and different learning abilities and therefore learn new material at different speeds. These studies have proved that the Mastery Learning Methodology (MLM) significantly improves student's subject retention and skills mastery by up to 300% more than a lecture-based approach.
The IT faculty has adopted the Mastery Learning Methodology (MLM) so that students can pace their studies to suit their experience and ability. This means that students can focus on sections that they find challenging and progress quicker through other sections. Monthly reports keep both students and parents/sponsors fully updated on the students' progress. At CTI, support is always at hand - students will not be left to their own devices. Instructors are readily available to ensure that students receive the support and coaching they need to understand the study material and complete projects.
