Unit Description
The course will develop critical analytical skills relevant to strategic management. The course will introduce the learners to the cognitive processes and core analytical tools which underpin the management of strategy in organisations.
The cognitive element is completed by a business reality component in the form of a game simulation exercise. The skills and know-how acquired by participating in the business game should enhance the employability of the learner.
Alongside the teaching of tools and skills, learners should be encouraged to develop a critical appreciation of the nature and limits of business strategy and understanding of the organisational dynamics involved in strategy development
