Graphic Designers develop unique ideas and recognisable identities for products and promotional material for corporations. They are involved in typography and layout work that demands an intense knowledge of new hardware and software, affording designers the opportunity to create powerful designs on high-quality operating systems. The qualification has a strong practical component that develops the student’s creativity. Students will complete many projects during the course of their studies to build up a solid portfolio of work.
The MGI Bachelor of Arts degree is recognized by DEFSA
Entrance requirements
- Applicants with a South African National Senior Certificate for degree purposes or a CTI/MGI approved equivalent and a minimum of 25 points may be admitted to the 3-year degree programme.
AND
- Successful acceptance of work portfolio.
AND
- Successful interview between applicant and Faculty Head or representative.
OR
- Applicants with a South African National Senior Certificate or a CTI/MGI approved equivalent and between 17 and 24 points may be admitted to the Pre-degree programme.
